Uno Shihan, 8th Dan JAA, conferred by Tomiki, was born
in Japan on the 22 November 1941. He first started Aikido at
Wasada University and was first taught Aikido by Professor Tomiki in
1959 who graded him to 1st Dan at the age of 20. He studied under
him for approximately 20 years. During that time he also studied
Kendo and attained 3rd Dan at the age of 33.
He is now the Vice President of the JAA and Principle
teacher and founder member of JAAS, the Shikoku Hombu.
He is the first to publish a book about Tomiki Aikido in
three languages, Japanese, English and Russian. The book also includes a
CD of techniques.
He has many students world wide and in particular
Russia. In Imabari, Japan there are four branches and his students world
wide total over 1000.
They all form part of JAAS and Shidokan. |
